2019-2020 Busing Information for Non-Residents

Per our School Board policy for non-resident students, the parent, guardian, custodian or student agrees to provide their own transportation to and from school.  However, if there is a designated bus stop within the Eastbrook Community Schools and there is adequate space on our school buses as determined by the Director of Transportation, then non-resident students will be permitted to ride our buses.  In the event that there are more requests than space available, the Director of Transportation will develop a strategy to determine who will be offered transportation on our buses.

To properly determine the space available, non-resident students will not be permitted to ride on our school buses the first week of school, August 13-16, 2019.  The school offices will compile the results of requests of non-resident students wishing to ride the buses and share this information with the Director of Transportation no later than August 14, 2019.  He will then collaborate with his route drivers to determine the number of spaces available, who will be offered transportation on the buses and communicate to the parents, guardians, custodians no later than Friday, August16, 2019.  Non-resident students will be permitted to ride the buses beginning on Monday, August 19, 2019. Please contact Jeff Bernaix via email at jbernaix@eastbrook.k12.in.us if you have any questions.  Thank you.
