Eastbrook Community Schools Corporation received a $158,700.00 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. as part of the Endowment’s Comprehensive Counseling Initiative for Indiana K-12 students. The district was one of 52 public and five charter schools selected to implement plans. Eastbrook worked with the four other Grant County schools in a collaborative effort to implement plans to meet the complex academic, college, career and social and emotional needs of our students. The collaborative effort of the county schools was spearheaded by Project Leadership of Grant County in conjunction with Family Services.
Eastbrook continues to work with the other county schools, Project Leadership and Family Services to plan and provide students with a more comprehensive counseling model to meet the needs of our students. Eastbrook will specifically focus on strategies to:
1. Develop a comprehensive K-12 social and emotional system of support for
2. Develop a comprehensive K-12 college and career readiness program that
significantly increases postsecondary readiness and college and career success of our students.
Over 254 school corporations and charter schools submitted implementation grant proposals totaling nearly $90 million.
