Be a part of the conversation! Starting on Oct. 12th we will be participating in the Speak Up national research project. Speak Up is the first survey designed to help parents share their ideas directly with schools and national policymakers. As key stakeholders, Speak Up provides parents with a mechanism for expressing their views to the administrators at their child(ren)’s school and district about key issues impacting their child(ren)’s education. Since 2003, Speak Up has collected and shared the views of more than 4.5 million students, teachers, and parents from all 50 states, as well as internationally. By participating in Speak Up, parents are expressing their views to a wider audience of local, state, and national policy makers as well as the business community—and contributing to the national dialog about science, technology, and preparing students for the 21st century workforce.

The online survey is open to students, educators and parents; it’s quick and easy to get involved.  To take the survey visit:  and click the blue parents enter here button!

It’s that time of the year again! Our greenhouse will be open on May 5th  & May 6th  from 11:30 a.m. – 6:00p.m. My fellow students have been working very hard for the last 5 months to get everything looking great and ready for opening day. We have learned many new things about the greenhouse this year.  We are pleased to announce that all of our prices will be the same as last year. Parking may be limited around the greenhouse this year due to construction on the school gym. We will set up orange cones in an area near the greenhouse for parking.  We also will have carts and students available to help get materials to your vehicle. We hope to see you all Thursday May 5thand Friday May 6th.

Did You Know (presentation)

Eastbrook North and South held their Title 1 Family nights this past week. Everyone who attended had a wonderful time. Our theme for this year at both schools was We Love to Read. Both parents and children played games with words, made a craft and got their pictures taken. Our title 1 teachers did an excellent job of planning a reading filled evening for the children.

For more information about Title 1 visit our Title 1 page.
