Principal’s Message

Chris McKimWelcome to Eastbrook North Elementary School! My name is Chris McKim and it is my pleasure and privilege to be serving the Eastbrook North community as principal. I have thoroughly enjoyed working as a teacher and coach at Eastbrook for the past 14 years before transitioning to my current position of ENE Principal in 2014.   I love my new role and the opportunity to positively impact the educational experiences of our students.

At ENE, we are FAMILY! It is such a blessing to serve alongside so many genuine and caring professionals all working together for one goal – our students. The teachers, support staff, and I work in partnership with one another to optimize student learning. We are committed to creating a nurturing environment and culture where students enjoy learning, parents feel confident in the quality of their child’s education, and teachers work with all stakeholders to support students socially, emotionally, and academically.

Parents and community members are always welcome to visit and to volunteer here at ENE. We are also blessed to have strong community partnerships with local universities and organizations, as well as, a very active PTO.  Strong involvement from families and these multiple local partners help make ENE a special place for our students and our community.

ENE is the current school home for just over 350 (K-6) students and a new preschool program which serves approximately 25 three & four year olds.  Eastbrook students are challenged by our 1:1 initiative, which has provided each student their own personal laptop computer and a focus towards the integration of technology as a powerful learning tool.  A diverse curriculum, including unique programs and multi-sensory modalities, is daily employed to promote student growth in the areas of reading comprehension, problem solving, and depth of knowledge.  Finally, our students are encouraged every day to be citizens of great character through the incorporation of our Panther PRIDE Principles.

Thank you for dropping by and visiting our website. I invite you to explore all areas of our site to learn more about Eastbrook North Elementary. Your input and thoughts on how we may better serve your student is very important to us.  Therefore, we always welcome questions and input as we are constantly striving to be our best.  Feel free to email me anytime at or call the school office (765-934-3551) during school hours.  Thank you!
