The Eastbrook Community School Corporation Board of Trustees has officially begun the search to hire its next Superintendent following the recent announcement of Mr. Brett Garrett’s upcoming retirement.
Eastbrook is grateful for the 13 years of service that Mr. Garrett gave to the Eastbrook community, serving from 2012 through February 2026. During his tenure, Eastbrook saw impressive accomplishments in the areas of financial stewardship, academic achievement, and care and upgrades of the corporation’s three campuses.
Now hoping to find its next Superintendent to build on these successes, the School Board has outlined a search process.
First, Eastbrook invites all staff, parents, students, and community members to participate in a survey to help identify the qualities and characteristics needed in Eastbrook’s next leader. This survey is also an opportunity to speak to the corporation’s needs, strengths, and weaknesses. The survey will be open through January 21 and can be accessed from the Eastbrook website’s Superintendent Search page.
The School Board, with assistance from the Eastbrook administrative team, will review and interview applicants. Community input is intended to help inform this review process.
Applications will be accepted through January 31, 2026. Those interested in applying should visit the employment section of the Eastbrook website to see all of the requirements for applying. Questions about this open position should be directed to Eric Hinderliter, Eastbrook School Board, at [email protected].
