Eastbrook Community Schools was informed Monday August 31st, that two students tested positive for COVID-19. Their last contact with students at
Eastbrook was past the limit for contact tracing. Eastbrook was also informed a staff member at Eastbrook South tested positive for COVID-19. There was no contact tracing required for this case because of the symptom and testing timeline.

Close contact is defined by health officials as being within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes. Eastbrook Community Schools uses class, bus, and lunchroom seating charts and other information in its contact tracing process. Health officials advise that contact tracing should focus on the 48 hours prior to the positive test.
